Musical performances on Florence Nightingale's life will be coming to West Seattle this September on Sunday, 23rd and 30th.

This September, HEARTS: Health Enriched by the Arts is collaborating with Admiral UCC and Providence Mt. Saint Vincent to presents Nightingale: A Musical Regarding the Life and Passion of Miss Florence Nightingale.

Through original music and dramatic scenes, Nightingale follows Florence Nightingale’s life through her struggle to understand her “call from God,” her resistance against her wealthy British family and Victorian society and her leadership during the Crimean War. HEARTS honors Nightingale’s work in healthcare reform, creation of nurse training and the profession of nursing in this modern take on her life.

HEARTS will perform Nightingale for two nights only before taking this musical to nursing schools, organizations, healthcare institutions and other venues in 2019 and 2020 in celebration of Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday:

Sunday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
