Your team of WSNA registered nurses from Evergreen Hospital & Medical Center met with the administration for our tenth session on Monday, Feb. 27.
Both parties exchanged proposals and reached tentative agreements in areas such as residency probationary period, personal holidays and vacation scheduling.
We also had lengthy discussions around issues that remain unresolved that include:
- Fair wages and benefits
- Rest between shift takeaways the employer proposed
- Differential and Premium increases proposed by WSNA
- Staffing committee responsibility and structure and how it aligns with new laws
- Workplace violence language proposed by WSNA
- Cuts in the Per Diem Premium the employer proposed
- And more…
We will be meeting for our next bargaining session with the administration on Tuesday, March 5 in an effort to make additional movement towards a mutually acceptable contract.
We appreciate all of the support from all of the registered nurses that have reached out and demanded a fair contract and safe working conditions. These principles will continue to be the driver behind our priorities as a team.
