Local unit meeting and budget cuts

The County has announced their budget plans for the upcoming year which include cuts to some of the programs such as WIC, First Steps and possibly Childcare.

Please come meet with your officers and WSNA Nurse Rep on Nov. 21, 2019 from noon to 1 p.m. in room 209A to discuss the effects of these changes and plans moving forward. Bring your lunch and we’ll see you there.

With the University of Washington School of Nursing, WSNA is offering the opportunity to fulfill your 6-hour mandatory suicide prevention training requirement for licensure as part of your trip to Convention. This training is approved by the Washington Department of health and on their model list. Separate registration required. Lunch provided. 6 CNEs

Your contract has been ratified!

Congratulations! You have ratified your contract by an overwhelming majority. We had a tremendous turnout!

The contract goes to the Board of Health for ratification on Feb. 13. Once that is accomplished, Payroll will implement your wage increases. It is likely that your wage increases will be on the Feb. 23 paycheck; at the very latest, they will be on your March 8 paycheck. Wage increase will be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2018.

Insurance premium changes will take effect on your March 8 paycheck and are not retroactive. Please direct any individual benefit questions to Pam Aguilar in Human Resources.
